my boyfriend and i enjoyed an unmistakably sensational, competition-grade thanksgiving holiday weekend. i had planned on subjecting you, my beloved audience, to one post featuring a handful of greatest hits, but alas, there are no death-deserving darlings. we're going to begin at the end of the trip and work our way back in hopefully no more than 3 posts.
we spent thanksgiving in las vegas and decided on our saturday checkout that we didn't want to go home, so we drove through the mojave national preserve to joshua tree. we stayed in a cozy, 77 year old cabin at the super fantastic
29 palms inn. we ate in their restaurant, which serves produce from their own farm. we went to a drive-in movie theatre so remote, the lights flickering on the enormous screen didn't dim our view of the stars. we drove 20 minutes into the park at midnight and sat under a big fat sky streaked with shooting stars.
